Veneers are thin shells of ceramic material that are designed to cover up the front tooth surfaces and cover up stains, gaps in the smile, uneven and misshapen teeth, chips in the teeth, and much more. With a set of veneers from Dr. Morren, you can completely transform your smile in just 2 appointments over a period of a few weeks. Get in touch with our dental team in Austin and let us help you transform your smile.
Contact Us TodayAt your first consultation, Dr. Morren will discuss your options for veneers, and determine if this treatment is a good option for your unique needs.
If you’re approved for veneers, you’ll come back to have your teeth prepared for veneers. Your mouth will be numbed and then a thin layer of enamel will be buffed from each tooth that will be getting a veneer.
During your preparation appointment, Dr. Morren will take impressions and images of your teeth. These will be sent to our partner dental lab, where your veneers will be custom-crafted out of porcelain. In the meantime, Dr. Morren will place some resin temporary veneers to protect your trimmed teeth and send you home.
After your veneers are built and sent to our office (which takes 2-3 weeks), you’ll come back for your final appointment. Dr. Morren will remove your temporary veneers, clean your teeth, and bond your new porcelain veneers in place permanently, completing the procedure.
If your mouth is healthy but your teeth have a lot of cosmetic problems, veneers may be the best option for you. To find out if you’re a good candidate, contact us now for a complimentary consultation with Dr. Morren, and explore your options for cosmetic dentistry in more detail.
Brushing and flossing will prevent tooth decay and help keep your veneers and your natural teeth shiny and bright, so make sure to brush twice a day and floss once a day.
Make sure to come and see Dr. Morren for a consultation every six months to keep your smile in great shape.
Don’t use your veneers to chew hard foods like ice or almonds, and avoid chewing on non-food objects like fingernails, pencils, or pens. You also should never use your teeth/veneers as “tools” to help open packages, tear open tape, and so on. These habits can all damage your teeth.
